to the Hollanders Family….
Our
family, Peter and Denise, children Cheyenne and Tristan
Hollanders came to Spain in November 2007 for a new challenge,
a different lifestyle with more room for nature, time for each
other and to develop a new way of looking on life underneath
the Spanish sun.
A
year later we definitely faced a new challenge, getting things done
in Spain is not easy and when you want to plan things you are in the
wrong country… Being Dutch and stubborn that needed some
adjustment, but we are really happy with how everything turned out!
Our
campsite is situated in the hills of the Sierra del Viento, one of
the starters of the Sierra Nevada. From Alicante it is a two hour
drive south and two hours more to Granada. The national park starts
in our back yard. We offer you a beautiful spacious campsite, where
you can enjoy naturism in the peace and quiet surrounded by nature.
Respect for nature, each other, quality and smallness are important
for us, in order to make sure we can offer you optimal service.
With
us you can enjoy the surrounding nature, make
beautiful walks from our campsite or in nearby places such as
national park Las Marias , go for rides on the mountain bikes we
have available for you, enjoy the Spanish culture and visit the
towns ofVelez Blanco,
Velez Rubio or Puerto Lumbreras. You can also explore the beautiful
coastline in between Aquilas and Mojacar, visit the fabulous
naturist beach of Vera or go for a day trip to Granada, Cartagena,
Lorca, de thermal baths of Baza, or visit the national park of Cabo
de Gata.
Anyway,
enough to see and do, but to be fair, most people arrive with great
plans but hardly leave our terrain……
On
our campsite you can rent a beautiful 200 years old cottage (in
Spanish Cortijo), just stop by for one or more nights in our
B&B’s, or camp with your tent, camper or caravan.
Our
terrain is small scale; with its seven hectares we only offer 20
places. This way we can offer you great service and meet high
quality standards. Our facilities are clean, well taken care of and
luxurious. We have a solar heated
pool, a shower house, using water of our own well and a solar system
to heat the water.
At
La Cantina you can get some bread and groceries, use the internet,
or even get a very nice breakfast.
